moved my fennel closer to the window so the soil dries faster and my lucky bamboo farther so that it gets less direct heat.. and also arranged my lilac so the few remaining aphids don’t spread to the fennel and cause another die-off within the world of my plant shelf. need to toss the plants that succumbed to aphids (makes me sad seeing them sitting around) and get the rest of my plants from my parents’ house (and check for aphids BEFORE i move them over)

i like to read papers over my morning coffee when i’m not doing my little coffee vacation thing (i usually have multiple cups lol—thanks chronic fatigue) and today i found one about the factors leading to societal loneliness that i’m really enjoying. it’s a preprint so it’s just a manuscript that will probably be edited further before publication, but if you’re interested you should give it a read: osf.io/preprints/osf/7bawt_v1

i’m looking forward to… organizing things at work (is that weird?)
i’m feeling grateful for… Mad in America (https://www.madinamerica.com/) gave me a free account when i emailed and said i wanted to read an article but couldn’t afford a donor account.. that’s how i found that paper!
notes: work is fun for me, which is so crazy—it’s my first real (PAID!!!) job and i’m getting to sit alone in a room organizing file cabinets. it’s heaven. i can play music and get lost in sorting through cool old stuff AND i get money for it. i accidentally worked an extra hour and a half yesterday because i lost track of time! that works out well because i couldn’t work friday or monday and i can work up to 20 hrs every two week period, so i’m trying to make the most of that.
